During the course we were required to create and keep up a blog. Doing this allowed me to become more familiar with the site www.blogspot.com as well as some of the design and behind the scene elements of blogging. I do think that for some students this would be a beneficial way of getting them interested in writing while being able to showcase some of their creativity. Personally I didn't like keeping up the blog while we had to do it but I would be interested in looking more into it for a classroom of students, especially emergent writers. We also had to keep up a micro blog on www.twitter.com. This technology is becoming much more popular with the younger generation and we learned ways to incorporate it into the classroom as well. Below the blog link is a link to my twitter for EDCI505. Both are accessible by clicking on the pictures. I preferred micro-blogging over traditional blogging but enjoyed learning about the design elements and creating both.
